Ashley Zuhn

Voice/Piano Instructor

Ashley Zuhn is currently attending Northern Illinois University and pursuing a music education degree with a Vocal Emphasis. She has been singing for over 10 years and has been playing piano for six years.  Ashley believes that every student can be a musician and create music as long as they are given a chance.  At NIU, she has had the opportunity to work with elementary, middle school, and high school students.  She hopes to one day be a choir director and teach students about the importance of having music in their lives.

Growing up, Ashley had been involved with ILMEA, performed with the Sinfonietta Bel Canto Opera Group in Downers Grove, and worked in a nonprofit theater group in Homer Glen. At NIU, she has performed with the Chamber and Concert Choir.  In addition, she is one of the Bradt Scholarship Singers at First United Methodist Church in Dekalb.

In her spare time, she enjoys conducting, bowling, listening to music, taking walks, and watching movies.  She is looking forward to furthering her own education by teaching and working with young musicians. She cannot wait to make music with you.
