Cheyanne Fleming is a violinist pursuing her bachelor’s degree in music education at Northern Illinois University. Cheyanne believes making music is a personal experience and uses a student-centered approach. She encourages her students to share their own musical ideas, interests, and goals to shape and customize their lesson experience. Her goal is to provide her students with a safe, encouraging learning environment where they can explore and experiment without judgment.
All progress is worth celebrating and she aims to leave her students feeling accomplished and proud of their work after every lesson.
Cheyanne has ten years of violin experience and is currently an active member of the NIU Philharmonic. She studies under Blaise Magniere, but regularly works with other string faculty as well. Away from her violin, she works one-on-one with performers as the music director for the NIU Penguin Players, a musical theater program for adults with disabilities.
