Kaylie Emmer

voice/piano instructor

Kaylie has been studying violin for sixteen years and voice for over a decade. She is currently a senior-year music education student at NIU and primarily studies voice. She has performed violin in the NIU Philharmonic and multiple pit orchestras, including two musicals for DeKalb’s Stagecoach Players. She has sung in the ensemble in NIU’s opera theatre program for two years. Currently, she is in NIU’s concert choir and sings the national anthem among other music for most Sycamore’s Veterans of Foreign Wars Club events.

She loves all genres of music and is very passionate in her dream to be a choir teacher. She is described by her colleagues as kind, helpful, and highly organized. Kaylie believes that everyone is capable of being an amazing musician.
