Daniel Jablo is a young guitar player and a current music student at Northern Illinois University. While pursuing a degree in Jazz Studies, Daniel is also well-versed in gospel, blues, funk, and rock music. His teaching is song based, making sure the student will be able to play music that they enjoy and also understand why it works. He would like his students to develop more of an appreciation and awareness of music in addition to building their skills. Daniel’s musical experience comes from not only the formal music education he has received at NIU and as a former Ravinia Jazz Scholar of Chicago, but from the experience playing in bands of all different styles. He has spent extended time playing, learning, and listening in the rich musical environments of New Orleans and his hometown of Chicago. He would like to guide students of all ages and skill levels to where they want to be musically.
