Matthew Harvey

Matthew Harvey is an active musician and educator in the greater Chicago area. He is currently working on his Master of Music in Trumpet at Northern Illinois University. Prior to this, he studied at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he graduated with a B.M. in Performance and a B.S. in Computer Science. He is a versatile musician who has performed with Big Bands at Elmhurst Jazz Festival, a Competitive Trumpet Ensemble in Salt Lake City, and with the UWW Wind Ensemble at Carnegie Hall. As a teacher, he teaches private lessons to a variety of brass and piano students while also tutoring in mathematics and coding.
