Oskar Kaut is a cellist based in DeKalb, IL. Oskar is currently pursuing a Master’s of Music in Cello Performance at Northern Illinois University and is studying with Dr. Cheng-Hou Lee.
Prior to moving to Illinois, Oskar studied at the University of Iowa, where he performed with the University of Iowa Symphony Orchestra and participated in the Chamber Music Residency Program.
In addition to his studies, Oskar has performed with the Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra and the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra, as well as participating in a chamber music tour of the state of Iowa with his piano quintet, Quintantō.
Oskar has played the cello since he was four years old, and has taught lessons for six years. Oskar seeks to help students build their technique as well as their passion for and knowledge of music.
